Have you ever noticed how that your words can get so twisted in an email? How when you are writing an email, you are thinking in your head that you are conversing in a light and mild manor, but since you didn’t put a smiley face or an "lol", the person receiving your email thinks that you are angry or upset. Then they mention that you were upset or "short" in your email and you have no idea what they are talking about, so then you have to go back and re-read the email that you sent and try and figure out where it all went wrong! Arrgghh!! The next thing you know, you are sitting at your computer, re-reading your email with different voices in your head (don’t pretend you don’t know what I am talking about). You read it the way you wrote it and think, "what are they talking about, it doesn’t sound mean?". Then you read it in an angry voice, and then it dawns on you….that is what they are talking about! I wish there was a way that you could "listen" to the way a person is writing there email, without having to add all these "emoticons" just to get your point across. Maybe we should all start sending video messages instead of writing text so we all know what everyone is feeling and expressing.
Authors note: By the way….I was in a frustrated mood while writing, but am now relaxed because I was able to vent….and I was just trying to come up with a solution to the problem.
